Who wants to know? Everyone!

Newsletters are elusive creatures. Just the word itself brings fear to many who are tasked with creating one and yawns to people asked to read it. But what most think of as a newsletter isn't really what I'm referring to here.

So What Is A Newsletter?

A newsletter is any written content that gives updates on a regular basis about a particular topic.

How Do You Write A Newsletter?

That's easy. You find a subject that a group of people are interested in, and you create content about that subject on a regular schedule that benefits them.

How Do You Publish A Newsletter?

We've come a long way since the days of "one if by land and two if by sea!" We rarely hear about "Town Criers" unless we hang out at our local city council meetings.

Today's news is delivered using something more than a megaphone or bullhorn. Usually it's digital and delivered via an online tool. But some are still done the old way. They're printed with ink on paper and either delivered by the U.S. postal mail service or by hand to anyone who wants to know more about the topic.

What Is The Newsletter's Goal?

No matter how it's delivered, the goal is the same: provide content on a topic of interest to a specific group of people in a format and layout that is easy to read and informative.
